My annual girls xmas party
I had so much fun preparing for this year's xmas party. I baked all kinds of cookies and sweets which was a first for me. I love sweets so I am surprised this was my first year doing that. We got the house all decorated and put lights up outside. For dinner, Brandy and I made stuffed pork chops with a yummy berry glaze. So delicious! We had a great evening together.

Bojangles has company for 6 weeks
My Mom's dog Zabie has come to stay with us for 6 weeks while she is in Europe. We weren't quite sure what to expect from Bojangles with this intruder in his puppy world. The first few days were terrible. Bojangles was very jealous by us giving Zabie any attention and he would start growling when Zabie got too close to him. Every movement was followed by a growl. We were afraid to leave them alone so we always put Zabie in his crate. But on day 4 we had a breakthru! I caught them rolling around on the bed playing and cleaning each others coats. I nearly died. We are now all getting along!!

Minor mishap
Bojangles has been accompanying Chris and myself to work. We bring him into our office and shut the door. We bring his bed with us and this guy can just chill for hours. He doesn't make a sound. When our door is shut, our coworkers come into our office to pet Bojangles and say hi. He really is a good dog. Well Bojangles was wingman to Chris last weekend. Chris had to go put up some for sale signs of new listings we got. Bojangles was in the car watching Chris put the for sale sign up. It was a chilly day so Chris left the car running with the heater on. Well, Bojangles is up on the ledge of the car window just watching Chris. He accidentally hit the car lock button!!! OK what are the odds of that first of all. Secondly, what are the odds Bojangles can do it again to unlock the car doors?? Chris tries everything to get our dog to step on the window ledge again in the exact place we need him too. No luck. So Chris calls me and of course, we don't have a spare key. Chris then calls On Star. While waiting for On Star, I decide to come help him try to get Bojangles to unlock the door. Oh what a funny sight we were getting Bojangles all excited and trying to get him to put his paw on the unlock button. Well 45 minutes later, he finally managed to hit a button that worked, the window!! He hit the right window enough that we could get a hanger thru it to unlock the running car. We gave Bojangles lots of loves since he saved the day. Oh we love our dog!! He just cracks us up. Everyday is an adventure with him!! We kept joking afterwards how Bojangles locked Papi out of his car.

Puppy's new outfits for the snow
Winter has come to Utah! :( We had our first snow storm this week unfortunately. Darn early winter. Anyway, one thing we remembered after it snowed, is that poor Bojangles doesn't have fur like most dogs. Yorkies have human hair. This is why they never shed. So to stay warm, Chris and I bought him his first reversable jacket, a hoodie, and some foot booties to keep his paws warm and protected from salty driveways. So we have outfitted him in some new grubs. He hasn't gotten used to the booties just yet. I am not sure he will. He doesn't seem to like them too much. But he loves his jacket. He prances around like a king.

U of U Game & Halloween gets spicy!!
On Saturday, we went to the U of U Game. Go Utes!! I had my first experience of tailgating in the official tailgating lot. It was nuts! So much fun. There was a smorgasbord of food and fun. Here are some photos of that:

The motorized cooler! They sell for around $500.
We had to test it out of course!

This year for Halloween, the theme was... be a rock star from any genre. My girlfriends decided to go as the Spice Girls! We went as far as ordering stuff off of Ebay, spray painting our hair, going to tattoo parlors, painting a shirt-literally, and buying a British flag. It was a blast! Here are a few photos. Hopefully you can tell who Posh, Scary, Baby, Sporty and Ginger are. Chris went as Garth Brooks. He makes a darn cute country singer!

I wish I could cut me out of this photo.

My new pilates reformer
Ahh what an amazing moment when you get something you have longed for for years!! I am so excited. I found a brand new pilates reformer listed in our online ads here in Utah for only $50. This is an incredible deal. Most new reformers can range in price from $300-$3000 plus you have to pay shipping. This is not a top of the line reformer but perfect for what I need. I haven't done pilates in years and so this gets me back into the swing of working out again. Oh how I love my new pilates reformer. They lady selling it was a real ditz and she had no clue what she was selling. I am grateful for this! I snagged it up instantaeously. I have dream boards with a pilates reformer on it dating back from 2006. Crazy how this happened now when I wasn't even thinking about it.... I love when little surprises like this happen!

Bojangles hygiene update
Taking care of Bojangles has become a daily and weekly activity that we find so amusing!! Bojangles is like most dogs, not a big fan of grooming. But we are determined to have him be one of those dogs that smells good and looks good. We give bi-weekly baths, daily grooming and gum/teeth rubbing. I can't say teeth brushing yet. He only licks the toothpaste and lets us put our finger only on his gums. Hopefully soon we will upgrade to brushing! But for now, here is Chris and Bojangles.
He doesn't mind brushing of his hair....

Getting comfortable with his paw on the table....
Bath time! This is my favorite because he gets so sad at first and then after he is done he turns so happy!!
He is quite good once he is in the tub with Chris!
This is hysterical.... Chris bought Bojangles a toy that is supposed to clean your dogs teeth while they play with it. You are supposed to add toothpaste in the middle. The only problem is.... Bojangles doesn't really play with toys. And especially this one! He suspects something is not right and he stays clear away.
