Snowing in Utah... :(

It is the end of March and we are getting snowstorm after snowstorm. Spring is supposed to be in the air but we don't feel it here in Utah. This is a view of our work parking lot this morning. It is rather depressing to look out the window and see this sight. I am ready for spring already. Geez!

To keep our spirits up, we are headed to Wendover again this weekend. Chris is getting comped free rooms lately so we take advantage of those. He also is getting free admission to play in a blackjack tournament and 3 card poker tournament which could win us a lot of money if he wins. Those are the key words... if he wins. But since it doesn't cost us anything to play, we are in! Hooray for gambling! Does anyone want to join us again??
My poor flowers that bloom early every year and also die within a week or two. I need to have a talk with mother nature. No one can enjoy their beauty with this continual cycle.

Chris & Mr. Jengles

Chris and I ventured West to Wendover to gamble for 2 days. We had 3 sets of friends come out and meet up with us. It was a blast! We saw 3 of our friends win big money- Carrie won $800, Teresa won another $800 and Carrie's Dad won $500. We were the big losers. :( With all that winning going on, you would think we would get on one good heater over the 2 days we were there. Oh well. We sure had fun. Here are some photos of us smuggling our dog in and out of the hotel to take potty breaks.

Thank goodness Bojangles doesn't bark a lot because we would have been thrown out of the hotel for sure.

Getting Bojangles's jacket on before going downstairs.
In full cognito... like you can't tell a dog isn't under there!! But it worked!
Bojangles sleeping spot... under the covers.
Or with his head on the pillow and his body under the covers. He cracks me up- what a funny dog!!

Everyone should have 2 birthdays celebrations...

Why??? Well because in the off chance you bomb one of the celebrations. Our puppy is now a teenager (14 yrs in dog years). He turned 2 years old yesterday and to celebrate, on Sunday we bought him a bone from the butcher shop. We thought he would be so excited and would have the time of his life with it. Well how very wrong we were. As it turned out, he shunned his new bone and ended up just burying it outside in the backyard! Chris and I turned our backs on him and he ran out the doggie door only to come back inside with dirt all over his nose. Busted!! So I felt bad and last night we gave him the bone to our steak after we were done eating. Finally, he was a happy little mutt and he had a great bday after all.
Bone from the butcher shop.... He gets excited at first.
But immediately he wants no part of this bone...
He stays clear of the bone altogether!!
Birthday night #2- steak bone = JOYGoing to town with his new bone...

We love our dog, can you tell!!

Chris's only walk-in from his open house...

Bojangles..... Chris tried to get him to sign on the dotted line but no luck. :( Where are those buyers??!! It is still true.... open houses don't work to sell homes but sometimes you gotta do it! Thanks Chris for taking one for the team.
