Yardwork and Housework

Preparing to meet your birthmother is a once in a lifetime event. I am so grateful for this opportunity however I also am so stressed about this event too! Peggy arrives tomorrow at Noon. So I have exactly 24 hours to prepare. I have so much cleaning, grocery shopping, real estate work, yardwork, manicure/pedicure(if time), etc. to do. Chris is a trooper and is helping me with everything including making me meals. He is so cute.

Here are some photos of the front yard. I planted some petunias yesterday. They are hard to see because they are baby petunias.

What an amazing week!

You know those weeks.... where so many things go your way!! And you feel so incredibly lucky. I had one of those weeks. Despite the terrible June weather we are having here in Utah.... I couldn't feel or be any better! It is like the birds are singing, the flowers smell amazing (Oh, Chris bought me roses on Sunday and they are beautiful!), there is a feeling of troubled waters passing that I have. And I feel like I have all the energy in the world and I don't know what to do with it. Call me crazy. But I am just high on life right now!!

So one of the reasons is, my birthmother Peggy is coming next week. I am trying to figure out the plan of what to do. She is excited and I am excited. And I just hope the weather cooperates because right now, I want to take her on Wednesday up to Park City and stroll around and then stay for the summer concert thing they do in Deer Valley. We can do a picnic up there and have wine and food with a few friends while listening to live music. That is all I have planned at the moment but I am sure I will come up with more.

Another reason is real estate. I closed a great deal for a client and she was thrilled. And I got a 4% commission instead of the usual 3%. Love when that happens! And Chris and I got another deal under contract that should close in 2 weeks. So we have a few in the pipeline which is always a good thing. Yippy.

And another reason is that I am doing another business and it is making me residual income. All from just recommending a club to people. I am at the 2 month mark and I skyrocketed this last week in making around $800/month last Sunday to now $1100/month... just in a weeks time. It is gaining momentum and I am in awe by the growth. I check the computer daily and see my pockets getting fatter. What a wonderful thing! I have a world record holder in longboard named Martin Drayton from London in my business. And apparently I have a big MMA fighter. So I am getting some famous people. Lots of triatheloners too. And one guy is training for the Ironman in Hawaii. If he makes it and if this company takes off like I am seeing, I will be going there to support him next year. Oh and I have West Hollywood, CA baby! Yep. I apparently am getting a huge following of gay guys from West Hollywood. Random I know. What could be better! I love gay guys!!

And another reason is that I love Chris. We had a really rough weekend last week. But you know those fights that actually make you grow closer to someone? We had one of those. And we never fight. But we did and then we made up and talked about how we grew from the experience. I love how we communicate. This week I couldn't have felt more bonded to this awesome guy that I love!!
The final reason too is that I am for the first time in a long long time, up to date with my quarterly taxes. Ahh I hate taxes! And they have been a thorn in my life that I hated just thinking about them. But that IRS has a way of not allowing you to ignore them. Sneaky IRS late fees and hate mail! Grrr. But now... me and the IRS are ok with one another. And that brings me JOY.

Have a great weekend everybody! RIP Michael Jackson....

Peggy is coming to SLC!!

Oh I have big news. Today, my birthmother Peggy who I have not met yet told me that she is planning on coming here to meet me!! I was planning on going to Florida however this is even better. With our latest conversation, she is planning on coming out here and staying with Chris and me at our house. Now she can meet all my friends who wanted to meet her too. I am super excited and am looking forward to meeting her in person. I don't have a date yet but I will keep you all posted. She is checking into flights this week. I am sure we will host a meet and greet sort of thing at our place if anyone want to meet her too.

White Trash Party!!

Happy 40th Birthday Stacy!! To celebrate in trailer park style, Kory threw a white trash party complete with the run down car and toilet in the front yard, ratty chair on the front porch and beer cans everywhere. This place was straight out of Kid Rock's trailer park!! It was awesome!!! Here are some fun photos.
Love Dave's beer stain on his pants along with food stains on his wife beater! Monica's curlers kill me!!
Chris kept asking everyone if they were going to Nascar on Sunday! And I just feel a little too much like Peggy Bundy.
The ratty chair on the front porch.
The trailer park GIRLS....
How Kori got this monster rally car is beyond me!
Sorry Monica but I had to put this one in here!
The girls- check out the Boones Farm!
My absolute fav tattoo of the night!! After her 3rd scratch out of a guy's name, Stacy put Ellen!!
I so dig Chris's smile........ and yes I am going to Nascar with you tomo babe.

Camping with the Bennetts

Over Memorial Day weekend, we went camping up at Scott and Teresa's property in Duschane. Great people, great food, lots of rain, a little chilly, beautiful views, some lizards, bats, lots of tasty smores, horseshoes, campfire, beverages, ATV ran out of gas, best weather the day we left (of course), best smelling out house ever-seriously, camping in the back of Chris's truck, poker, baked bean spillage on carpet (again sorry about that), and good memories just about sums it all up! Thank you guys for a great weekend!
